Compared to the same period last year, activity in this area has increased by 20%, Yuri Zubov, the head of Rospatent, said during a meeting of the IT Committee of the “OPORA RUSSIA” all-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses.
Zubov also noted the growth of patenting inventions in the field of information technology, where figures exceeded last year's by almost 133%.
