Among the AI-based projects that received support are: a platform for technical inspections of overhead communication lines using drones, a system for forecasting ice conditions, and an analytical system for accessing tire wear of motor vehicles.
During a meeting of Vladimir Putin with members of the government, Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov noted that the support measure was launched in 2021 and that since its launch, eight development companies have received more than half a billion rubles. Reshetnikov emphasized that the market of products that use AI was growing in Russia: last year, the market increased by 18% and reached almost 650 billion rubles.
"The development of artificial intelligence is a key factor for achieving technological sovereignty of our country. Support for AI projects, including Skolkovo, will allow us to expand the practical application of AI technologies, increase the efficiency of production processes and improve the availability and quality of goods and services for our citizens," Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, said.
