The Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information (RAPSI) analyzed key changes made this year to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and found that most of them related to the regulation of intellectual property rights.
The year 2022 was marked by the introduction of not only targeted changes to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation aimed at resolving local issues of law enforcement, but also by supplementing the text of the Code with two new chapters. Significant changes affected part 4 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (section VII "Rights to the results of intellectual activity and means of individualization"). In total, nine federal laws amending the Code were passed this year.
