Rusnano JSC is a Russian company established in 2011 through reorganization of the state corporation Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies. In 2020 it was included by the Government of the Russian Federation in the perimeter of VEB.RF group development institutes.
RUSNANO promotes state policy for nanoindustry development by investing directly and through nanotechnology investment funds in high-tech projects that support development of new industries in Russia. The main areas of investment are nuclear medicine and medical instrumentation, innovative nanobiopharmaceuticals, nanoelectronics and photonics, nanocoatings and surface modifications, new materials, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
The tasks of creating nanotechnology infrastructure and implementing educational programs are performed by the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, also created as a result of the reorganization of the state corporation.
