Skolkovo Foundation

A non-profit organization established in 2010 that performs the functions of the Skolkovo Innovation Center's management company.

The purpose of the Foundation is to support technological entrepreneurship in Russia and commercialize the results of research activities.

The number of Skolkovo residents has already exceeded 3,000. The Fund provides them with a range of services necessary to bring their developments to the Russian and international markets. Resident status gives the company tax and customs benefits. In 2019, the residents' revenues amounted to more than 160 billion rubles. Since 2019, the law allows any organization engaged in research activities in Russia to get access to all services and benefits of the Innovation Center.

The Skolkovo Innovation Center is home to the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), one of the top 100 young universities in the world according to Nature Indeх. The infrastructure of the Innovation Center includes, among other things, Europe's largest Technopark and research centers of industrial partners.

Three new partner R&D centers were opened at the Innovation Center in 2019 - Sibur, TMK and Tatneft. On the territory of Skolkovo, a total of more than 760 thousand square meters of residential areas, research and educational centers have already been commissioned. Extra-budgetary investments in the creation of the infrastructure exceeded 100 billion rubles.

At present, the Russian Government is transforming the system of development institutions, which envisages their integration into the management perimeter of VEB.RF. A centralized investment block is being created on the basis of VEB.RF to implement projects contributing to the achievement of national development objectives. The priority of the VEB.RF Group is the consolidation of public and private investment resources for the country's breakthrough development, improvement of quality and creation of comfortable living conditions for people.
