The participants discussed how businesses can obtain financing against pledges of intellectual property rights, as well as the progress of the implementation of a pilot lending project in Moscow. The initiative aims to improve the effectiveness of businesses that work with intellectual property, stimulate patent activity and increase the volume of investment in high-tech. The session was moderated by Daria Shipitsyna, Head of the Rospatent Center for Strategic Communications.
According to Valery Frolov, Deputy Director of Rospatent, patent activity of Russian technological companies is consistently increasing and one can forecast the growth of demand for the financing of high-tech businesses.
