Russia’s Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives Supported About 5,000 Projects in Culture in Last Two Years

According to statistics, roughly every 10th cultural initiative in Russia received a grant

Russia’s Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (FPCI) has supported about 5,000 projects to the sum of more than 15.5 billion rubles in the sphere of culture, arts and creative industries during its 2 years of work, reported the Fund’s press service.

The FPCI is a development institution that supports creative teams throughout Russia.

 "Each of them [the teams] has a completely different experience, including in the field of project activities. Of the total winners for all competitions – 2,623 teams won on their first attempt, 1,083 on their second attempt, 299 on their third attempt, 130 on their fourth attempt, 51 on their fifth attempt, nine on their sixth attempt, and seven received a grant on their seventh attempt. Each competition is highly competitive, due to the number of applications submitted and their quality, which increases significantly with each selection campaign," the foundation said.
