Russia’s State Duma Suggests to Extend Revision Time for Bill on Outdoor Digital Advertising Operator

On August 8, the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy suggested extending until September 9, 2022 the period of reviewing amendments to the popular bill to establish a single operator of outdoor digital advertising in Russia, a REGNUM news agency correspondent reported.

The bill, which was submitted by the State Duma deputy chairman of the profile committee, Artyom Kiryanov (“United Russia”), proposes that the operator is to receive information about the needed amount of advertising on outdoor digital advertising structures, the installation and operation of such structures and the preparation of plans for their realization. 

The first reading of the bill took place on July 15 and was not supported by the following Duma factions: LDPR, CPRF, SRPP and "New People". At that time, it was also decided that amendments to the bill should be submitted by August 13.
